Car Sharing in Batumi or a Daily Car Rental: Which Is Better for Tourists
In Batumi tourists have two options: car sharing paid by the minute or hour through an app, and a classic daily car rental. Here is what works better and when.
Car sharing: for short city trips
Car sharing is handy for a 15–30 minute ride around Batumi — to a restaurant, the beach or the market. Before the first trip you usually register in the app with a document check, and you pay per minute or per hour.
Before driving, check the service's terms:
- where you may end the rental and whether you may leave the city;
- what the insurance covers and your liability in an accident;
- how much waiting and parking cost during the trip.
Daily rental: for Adjara and the rest of Georgia
If you plan Gonio, Makhuntseti, the Botanical Garden, Kutaisi or the mountains, a daily rental is almost always better value: a per-minute rate for a full day of driving costs more, and the car stays with you in the evening and the next morning.
What you get with us:
- unlimited mileage — even across all of Georgia;
- insurance with an excess included, and full no-excess cover for $20 a day;
- airport meet in Batumi, Kutaisi or Tbilisi by flight number;
- hotel delivery in Batumi for $20 (free for 7+ days);
- a free second driver.
How much it costs
Our minimum is 1 day: the most affordable car is from $57 for a day, from $42 a day for 4–7 days and from $33 a day for a month. If you are a little late returning, there is a free grace hour. We don't rent by the hour.
What to choose
- A couple of short city rides during your holiday — car sharing or a taxi.
- Airport, out-of-town trips, a day on the coast — a one-day rental.
- A week or more, especially with mountain trips — a daily rental for the whole stay: each day is cheaper and delivery is free.
